An Interview with Michael Landon, Jr.
Following the ove
rwhelming success of the "Love Come Softly" films, Michael Landon, Jr. (son of the late television legend Michael Landon), a 20 year film business veteran teams up with Fox Faith to create several feature films, to be released in 2007.

In this, the first installment entitled "THE LAST SIN EATER" Landon explores an ancient Celtic ritual brought to A
merica in the mid 1850's by a community of Welsh immigrant settlers in the Appalachian mountains who believed that a human ’Sin Eater‘ could discharge the dead of their sins.

A beautiful adap
tation based on the inspirational best seller by Francine Rivers, "THE LAST SIN EATER", looks at the themes of sin, grace and absolution through the eyes of 10 year old Cadi Forbes (played by young star Liana Liberato). After the accidental death of her little sister, guilt ridden Cadi Forbes looks for absolution to no avail in a mystical ritual performed by the sin eater (played by Peter Wingfield) but instead uncovers a dark secret that threatens to pull her family and community apart. An all-star cast including Academy Award winner Louise Fletcher (One flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), two-time Golden Globe Nominee Henry Thomas (Gangs of New Yorkand E.T The Extra-Terrestrial), Soren Fulton (Thunderbirds) and A.J. Buckley (CSI: NY) brings the film to life.

Here, we caught up with its' director to talk about his latest project, his thoughts on Christian filmmaking, and what it means to bear the legacy of the Landon name. Full Feature

Just watched one of Mr. Landon's most recent films, Saving Sarah Cain, on DVD and it is something to see Hollywood tackling issues like FAITH.

The film is a great testament to inclusive love. Sarah (the main charachter) adopts her sister's kids, who happen to be Amish. Through tradgedy, adversity....and some new "dinner rituals" (watch the film, the burping scene is worth it!), they come together.

Great film!

Love's Unfolding Dream just came out and I'm under strict orders to pick it up on the way home.

Hope it's another winner from the Oke/Landon partnership!
