LINGK. What was the original objective of Christian TV, and how has it evolved?
PAUL. When my parents started Trinity Broadcasting Network back in 1973, their vision was to develop a vehicle to broadcast programming that would share the gospel with the world at large, as well as programs that would inspire and challenge believers. Over the last 30 years we’ve stayed true to that vision, so that today TBN broadcasts 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming to a wide range of audiences.

Our various networks reach every major continent through 54 satellites and more than 12,000 television and cable affiliates worldwide. In the U.S. alone, TBN is available to 92 percent of the total households. In addition to our flagship TBN network, we also operate a number of other Christian and family friendly networks, including the Church Channel, our JCTV youth network, TBN Enlace USA Spanish network, and Smile of a Child, our worldwide children’s network.
